Michael McCarty and Chef John-Carlos Kuramoto Lead an Exclusive Tour of Santa Monica Farmers’ Market to Introduce Favorite Farmers, Pay Homage To Ingredients of the Season, and Show How to Pick the Best Ingredients

February’s Meet-Up will Focus on Coleman Farms and Kale

WHO: Michael McCarty, hailed as a pioneer of California cuisine and known for his personal connections to local growers of the best seasonal ingredients at the farmers’ market; and Executive Chef John-Carlos Kuramoto, known for his knack for finding the best ingredients at the market. 

WHAT: Michael’s Market Meet-Ups
McCarty and Chef Kuramoto lead an exclusive tour of Santa Monica Farmers’ Market to introduce guests to his favorite farmers, pay homage to ingredients of the season, and show how he picks the best ingredients. Guests will then head back to the restaurant and enjoy dishes specially created by Chef Kuramoto featuring the monthly ingredient, as well as wine pairings and recipes to take home.

February’s Meet-Up will focus on Coleman Farms kale. Started in 1965 by Bill Coleman, Coleman Farms is based in Carpinteria.
